Well it is now January 31, 2008, quiet Christmas and quiet New Years Eve. Not that I minded this time around, we always have been busy both days, actually now I think about it, no headache on January 01, that's a first.
My boat idea has not progressed really, there were hickups by the family and it seems that I have to leave it for now and concentrate on my business "stop dreaming" in other words. But is is not gone, not by far, I give it two years and I will be sailing my own boat. This March I will take a week on water course out of Ft. Lauderdale, and an advanced course will be given in October on a cat out of one of the islands. Next year I will charter a cat to see how that sails, problem is that they are much more expensive to purchase than a monohull. Even older boat seem to hold their value. (Is that a good sign?)
The business(es) start to work, my second consulting job is for a british/dutch company, while it is not bad, it is of work for not a lot of pay. However the latter will grow once the consulting work has run its course. There is a lot of growth possible for both the company and myself.
I recently setup two web sites, mostly from a template provided by the ISP. Works okay, but it is restricted in what it can do, I also noticed that Google is very slow in picking it up. The weather has been atrocious for the last few days, on Thursday I lost power and that meant no internet either, that hurt more than no electricty. On Friday we may expect again a bunch of snow, great! As long as it is gone by Saturday mid morning as I have to fly to Cancun. Work, really it is!
